21-year-old man attacked with kirpan inside Delhi Metro stationn

New Delhi: A man who was 21 years old, was attacked with a kirpan, Sikh ceremonial dagger while disembarking from a train in a subway station in New Delhi on Sunday, police said.

The victim, Nitin, was attacked and injured in the waist at Patel Chowk Metro station. The Kanwaljeet defendant was caught by personnel of Central Industrial Security Force and handed over to the police.

The victim was taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he was pronounced out of danger.

Police said the attack occurred after an argument between the two in front of the crowded train.
